How does God Speak to us Today?

2 Timothy chapter 3 verses 16 and 17 says, “All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for correction, for reproof, and for training in righteousness. So that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” We look at the scripture that God has given the scripture as his voice to direct us and to guide us according to the will of God.

To the question: How does God speak to us? He speaks to us through the objective revelation that he has given to us, that is the Holy Scripture. The scripture is the voice of God, the scripture is the guide that God has given to us, to live according to his will. The scripture is the will of God, the scripture is the sufficient purpose of God that he has given to the church, to the believers.

So, if you want to hear the voice of God, study the Bible! If you want to know the will of God, study the Bible! Don’t look for extra-biblical revelations, neglecting the Word of God and inviting deceptions in your life. God’s will for you is to know his word and whatever you have to know, it has been clearly revealed in the scripture. And as Augustine said, “When Scripture speaks God speaks”. Let's hear him as we read his Word.
